Before you can create a project and commission your first recording, you'll need to purchase Midibucks, which are used to set a bid amount and pay for auditions from session musicians. Our Payment Setup help article walks you through each step for connecting a payment method and purchasing Midibucks.
Creating a project is easy! Just select your project's genre and instrument type, upload your track's MIDI file, and add any project notes. Then, set your project's bid amount and desired timeframe, and you're good to go! You'll receive up to 3 auditions from our talented team of session musicians within the timeframe you just set.
Once you receive an audition from a musician, we'll notify you, and you can immediately listen to it and give it a review. If you're happy with how it sounds, you can either choose to close the project and download the recording right away or message the musician with feedback and get a revised take. If the first audition is not quite there or doesn't meet your expectations, you can always wait for a potential second or third audition from other musicians. For more information about the collaborative recording process, read our help article, How Performidi Works.
