The Performidi® platform gives music producers and artists unparalleled access to high-quality live recordings from talented session musicians across the US. The platform is designed with ease of use in mind to encourage the inclusion of unique instrumentals and human performances in more producers' and artists' tracks. Simply upload a MIDI file, set your preferred price and timeframe, and musicians come to you! Select between up to three auditions, and collaborate with your favorite musician to perfect your sound. With the PerforMIDI® plugin, you can upload a MIDI file directly from any Virtual Instrument track and receive an industry-quality recording in a matter of hours, all without ever leaving your DAW. Our Mission
We started Performidi to keep the human element in music. The current market for session musicians makes high-quality, custom recordings inaccessible to the average music producer. And with the recent advancements in AI music-making, work opportunities for session musicians are likely to dwindle in the near future (at the expense of quality and creativity). The music industry has always been a 'winner takes all,' zero-sum game where the top producers and musicians win the vast majority of work. With Performidi, we are democratizing the music production process and putting the power back in the hands of the music-makers.
Our Team
We are two music lovers who met at Georgia Tech and decided to combine our skills to create a platform that helps music producers, artists, and musicians bring their dreams to life.
Adam Davault, Performidi Co-Founder, is a seasoned multi-instrumentalist who has produced music for 10+ years (check out our demos to hear his work). Before that, he was in multiple rock and alternative bands. He had the privilege of playing at major festivals like Sweetwater 420 Fest and Shamrock the Station, and he even warmed up for Better than Ezra. Witnessing the challenges musicians face firsthand fueled his passion for helping them overcome them. While industry veterans often kept their knowledge guarded, he vowed to democratize it. Adam is a marketing expert with a proven track record of success. He worked as an early employee at multiple startups, where he helped grow their audiences and oversaw several product launches - he is excited to share his marketing expertise and help you get your music heard.
Heather Mikan, Performidi Co-Founder, is a talented full-stack developer with a passion for music. She has a deep understanding of AI, cloud infrastructure, and app and plugin development, and she constantly seeks new ways to use technology to help music-makers create and share their music. She is responsible for building the technology that powers our platform, and she is always working to improve our tools and features. Heather is also a hobby music producer and avid listener, and she brings her love of music to everything she does.
